Our Story

Parker & Klein began in 1999, when Margaret Parker opened a small womenswear shop in Vancouver. She grew up a Klein, above her father's alterations shop, and she put both names over the door: Parker, her married name, and Klein, the family that taught her fit.

For twenty-seven years the shop has dressed women who value things made carefully. Coats that see out a West Coast winter, linen for long summer evenings, pieces chosen slowly and kept for years.

To help every woman feel quietly confident in what she wears. Margaret still chooses every piece, and still checks the fit the way her father taught her.

Every order is packed by hand with the same care we've given the shop's counter for twenty-seven years.

Looking Ahead

Parker & Klein is moving. Margaret's daughter Elise has settled further away with her two grandchildren, so the shop is heading to a cozy, half-size space close to them. The current collection isn't making the trip, which is why it is all part of our Moving Sale. Thank you for being part of the next chapter.
